As a trip to a theme park will show you, there are dozens of ways
to design a vending cart. But they all
have several elements in common. The vending cart must be able to hold
a certain amount of food or drink, depending on several factors:
- how busy the park is during
the day
- how frequently someone can
bring supplies to refill the cart
In designing a vending cart,
you may want to take a look at several different types
to see a variety of push cart designs as well as a drawing of the interior
of a cart.
If you find you have problems visualizing a three-dimensional shape such
as a vending cart, you might want to grab some heavy-weight paper, such
as construction paper or index cards, scissors, and tape, and make a model
of the object you want to design. This will help you understand the difference
between area, perimeter and volume.
